Orbs and More

Question: What are orbs? When they're visible on a photo, what are we seeing?

The Collective: Orbs are collections of energy that pulse with light and vibrationally reflect the area where they are present, along with the consciousness of the individual humans who are there at the moment, observing. It takes a communion of this sort for them to actively engage.

Think of them as little balls of delight that remind you that you are not alone...that there is much going on all around you, yet outside the scope of the naked eye. With your camera lens they're much easier to see, but they were in existence before the camera ever came along, so remember that the next time you're feeling alone. You never really are!

A Solid Foundation

The Hathors: Surrounding you are the elements of which you are made, and which, when brought intentionally into your awareness, can serve to strengthen you: Fire, Earth, Water, Air.

Simply place your attention on them and like the base of a pyramid with four corners, feel them as your foundation for health. Reflect gratitude for their service, and within just a few moments, you will feel as deeply rooted as the white oak tree is to the Earth.

Precious Child

Sophia: Today we speak to you of love, and more specifically, the love that your Father has for you. We use the word "Father" not to denote any gender, but to speak to you of that which most of you relate to as God. As the energy of the Divine Feminine, an aspect of the God-head, we speak to you of the love from God, the Mother as well.

You see, you are always unconditionally loved by your Parents in the spiritual realm. Wherever in your human life you feel that parental love was lacking, a solution can be found by tuning into that which you need in whatever form you need it most. So if you struggle with never having enjoyed real love from your mother, or if your struggle has been with feeling unloved by your earthly father, you can heal that loss through connection with God.

How exactly do you do that? In times of quiet reflection. Just a bit of focus is all you need to tune in to the frequencies of love that are always surrounding you, and to sit quietly and receive them. There's nothing really for you to do, but to allow. Prayerful connection is yours for the asking, and healing of those areas where you still feel fractured or split off can come without effort.

To receive means "to accept from another by hearing or listening." It also means "to receive the Eucharist," which as we mean it refers to "the giving of thanks." Do you understand? When you allow the connection of Mother Father God to heal you, you are receiving the thanks we have for who you are. Can you receive that?

I, You, We, One

Sophia: You are not the body, and yet you are often very attached to it. You are not the body and yet you are often very attached to that of another. This is part of the human dilemma, but not one that can be solved analytically. Simply love all aspects of the body as you begin to relate more deeply to that which you call Spirit.

When two bodies relate brother to brother, seeing no difference, understanding that one is the mirror of the other, a calm takes over. War not against yourself, war not against another; understand that What I do to you, I do to myself. Then watch as peace reigns.

Separation is an illusion, and when you judge another and find them lacking, you have invested in the mirage. There is an oasis of peace that can be realized when you look into the eyes of another and see your Self.

Blessed are the peacemakers...

Eine kleine Reise (A Little Trip)

Traveling to Germany

I will be out of the country beginning Friday, July 23rd. I'll be back at work on Wednesday, August 18th. While I'm gone, I can accommodate a few sessions if you're OK with me doing them without your scheduled participation (obviously this will only work for Reconnective Healing and BodyTalk). Let me know if you have a need for that while I'm gone. I'll have internet access but not to the degree I do when I'm at home.

If you'd like me to fit you in before I leave (including Akashic Record and Angel Readings), please get back to me as soon as possible.

A Life Well Lived

Like many of you, I am a member of a blended family. When I was 30 and my mom died, it left me feeling rudderless, to say the least. My dad, Bob, was naturally bereft, and as time went by and he'd given grief its due, he jumped back into life. Before long, he fell in love with Judy and she became my stepmother.

Fast forward 20 years later and our very large blended family is dealing, each in our own way, with the death of beloved Grandpa Herb, Judy's dad. He wasn't my biological grandparent (I lost them all many years ago), but he served that role admirably. Herb was 98 years old when he died on Tuesday, and while he already had it on his calendar to celebrate his 100th, his frail body wasn't up for the wait.

The Herb I first met was a man who had given his career to Swift & Company up in Minnesota and was now happily retired and living the life of a winter Texan, fishing on the Gulf coast with his wife, Dorothy. She passed away not long after I met them and Herb eventually came to live with my dad and Judy. For most of their married life, he was there.

When Dad and Judy were still working, Herb was an enormous help to them. They'd come home from work and the house would be clean, the table set, and dinner prepared. Herb took care of the yard, fed the birds and squirrels, and always found a project to work on. If something wasn't functioning to his satisfaction, he would jerry-rig it in some creative, often outwardly unattractive but workable way.

As he got on in years, one of his favorite things was playing Rummikub, and we all got hooked on the game along with him. Herb took supreme satisfaction in winning and especially in securing the joker tiles, which he called boogymen. In fact, his body will be cremated with one of those tiles!

When you've lived nearly a century, you experience so much. Just think about the events of our history over that time, and how much the world has changed. Herb talked often of life during the Depression, of playing basketball and meeting Dorothy, of his time managing a large crew at Swift & Co., of his lake homes, ice fishing, and winters in Rockport. He suffered loss, including seeing his son pre-decease him, but nevertheless remained invested in the art of living.

If you met Herb, you were instantly charmed, as was the case even in the last month of his life when he moved into an assisted living home. He never wanted to be a burden to anyone, and swore that he wouldn't get in the way of Judy and my dad being free to travel. We wonder whether his commitment to ensuring their freedom played into the timing of him leaving his rapidly declining body. A 10-day trip to Germany is coming up next week, and while the loss of Herb leaves a void in our family, we go there to celebrate the expansion of it through another marriage.

None of us escapes death, yet the spirit surely endures. Memories link us forever to those who have left before us and with each passing generation, they're somehow reborn. You see it in the eyes, in a loving gesture, in the way they've inherited qualities that remind you of who you've loved and lost. Thanks for the memories, Herbie.

Happy Interdependence Day!

It's the 4th of July and in America, we celebrate our independence. I've always prided myself on how independent I am, but as I grow older and hopefully wiser, it's my interdependence that I've come to value. One of my biggest challenges in fact, has been to understand that interdependence does not mean failure or weakness.

I now see myself as a thread in a vast web of connection and as such, an important part of the whole. Whichever way I move (or vibrate) resonates out to the rest of the web and creates a definite effect, just as it affects me when you, one of the threads on this limitless web, vibrate a particular way (and we're always vibrating).

Today I choose to celebrate and give thanks for all the ways in which being part of something so vast supports and uplifts me. I'm thankful for my family and friends whose impact on my life is obvious, but also for my global family whose connection to me isn't always so apparent, but is nevertheless ever-present. This interdependence is not just something to be grateful for, but is as vital as the air we breathe.

The Light that is in me is in you, and vice-versa. Namaste, my friends.
